Michael Will and John Watson, the owners of Burger Royale, bring over three decades of experience in the Columbus fine dining restaurant scene. After years of working in high-end establishments, they decided to embark on their own venture, creating a restaurant that reflects their passion for quality and craftsmanship. This vision led to the birth of The Burger Royale.
Their cuisine is best described as mid-century modern—a return to food curated at every step, with no shortcuts or cost-cutting measures. Every ingredient is carefully selected with the customer in mind, ensuring a dining experience that is both nostalgic and elevated.
At the heart of their menu is their signature item, “The Burger Royale,” inspired by a famous Quentin Tarantino movie. Their hand-crafted burgers pay homage to the 1950s, featuring butter-toasted brioche buns, hand-pattied, grilled-to-order hamburgers, and fresh-cut fries cooked in beef tallow. Customers can customize their meal with an assortment of fresh, seasoned toppings.
Michael emphasizes their mission, stating, “Our mission is to make food the Bowling Palace customers will crave.” John adds, “If you like our burgers, wait till you try our pizza.”

The Bowling Palace has tables and chairs on the 64,000+ sq. ft. of concourse where you can eat and drink while you watch the bowling fun, or you can dine and drink inside the Blue Sky Island Bar, where you can watch TV on any of our 13 large screens.
Our Blue Sky Island Bar has 13 big screen TVs for watching sporting events (including a TV in our all-season outdoor patio for smokers). Happy hour is Monday through Friday from open to 6pm (inside the bar only).
